Wilderness College Learning Commons

Jensen PLUS formed part of a team led by Cox Architects to  gain approval for a new Learning Commons on the Wilderness College Campus at Medindie. The Campus is constrained in size with limited open space for students, and so it was essential to get the most out of the site. The development made the most of existing building precedent in positioning the building on the street frontage. This resulted in a strong statement within the streetscape, as well as activated this part of the school's frontage to  Hawkers Road, emphasising the arrival to the school's new feature entry.

Jensen PLUS engaged with Council and the design team to work through an acceptable design solution  for the site, which sits within a historic streetscape character, coordinated the preparation of the development application and successfully negotiated its approval.
