In 2022 Jensen PLUS and Sproutt developed Concept Designs for the Main Street of Auburn, the gateway to the Clare Valley. The project aims to program work in the heart of the town to improve the environment for people, encouraging longer stays, community events and responding to environmental factors.

The Team worked with the Auburn Community Development Committee and Council to establish a Vision for what Auburn should look and feel like in the future. Less overhead power lines, slower moving vehicles, more trees and shade, easier opportunities to cross the road, more seating and economic activity and a celebration of the wonderful heritage character of the township were all desired outcomes of the Plan.

The programmed stages of the design, which are based strongly around the different precincts identified by the Team, are currently being priced and budgeted for by Council. Once delivered, the project will build on the beautiful village atmosphere of Auburn, making it an even more pleasant and intriguing place to live, work and visit.
