David elevated to Fellow of the Planning Institute of Australia

Many congratulations to Jensen PLUS’ David Barone on his elevation to Fellow of the Planning Institute of Australia, announced on Friday 18th November 2022 at the South Australian planning awards held at Adelaide Oval. Here David is being presented with his award by national PIA president Darren Crombie.

As his citation attests:
“David Barone is an outstanding planner who’s humility conceals his many achievements in planning. … David’s 20+ years’ of professional practice in local government and consultancy is characterised by always providing insightful and honest development advice, and in writing clear planning policies that facilitate good design outcomes.
… He is a patient planner and a great listener, which has naturally made him not just an excellent client advisor, but an influential mentor to scores of younger planners in the workplace and through PIA’s mentoring programme… David is a quiet achiever in South Australian planning, who excels in shaping practical details of planning policy, and getting great planning projects built.”

Also congrats to our team who won a commendation for the Whyalla Beach + Foreshore Master Plan in the highly competitive Strategic Planning Category.
